This help guide will teach you all you ever wanted to know about a recent email virus called email spoofing.

Reminder to Students, Faculty and Staff using their computers primarily off campus to update windows operating system.
Many virus and spyware attacks target unpatched windows computers. There is a vulnerability targeting unpatched computers scheduled for distribution on April 1st.
University Community members who use there computers off campus should verify their computers have all current updates.
Open Internet Explorer, Choose Tools, Windows Update and follow the instructions for completing an Express Update of Windows.
To check the status of your updates choose 'Review your update history' on the Microsoft Update Home Page.

The University automatically updates University owned computers used on campus. University computers are updated by leaving them at the Ctrl Alt Del screen over night. To insure this happens choose, Start button, Shutdown, 'Logoff' from the 'What do want the computer to do? prompt.
We also enforce windows updates for student computers in the residence halls. If you have doubts about your update status follow the procedure above.
