John Fleming

John Fleming, M.O.T., received his BA from the University of Iowa and MOT from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Professor Fleming teaches a variety of courses in the areas of human occupation, foundations of occupational therapy practice, medical terminology, and management and ethics. His work experiences encompass long-term care, acute-disabilities, and cardiac rehab.

Professor Fleming's research interests include occupation and the study of occupation through oral history, gerontology, community practice, and qualitative research. Professor Fleming has been an IRB member since 1993, serving as co-chair of the committee for ten years.
