Application Process:

Please complete a full application that includes a written informed consent form (if applicable) and submit it as indicated below. You may submit your application at any time during the academic year (September-May 15th).

Please submit:
  • One copy of all of your materials including the signed IRB application and, if applicable, the consent form via email to Lynne Linder <lelinder@stkate.edu> with "Attention IRB" in the subject line.
  • Three copies of all Exempt/Expedited applications to Lynne Linder in Mendel 112.

Be sure to include all other necessary materials (multiple copies as listed above).

The IRB will make every effort to respond within approximately two to three weeks regarding your application. If it is determined that your application does not qualify for Exempt status, you will be notified and your proposal will be upgraded to a Level II (Expedited) or Level III (Full) review.

Researchers cannot begin a project until they have submitted their application, it has been reviewed, and written confirmation of Exempt status has been provided by the IRB.
