Jamie Peterson, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Psychology department at St Catherine University. She earned her BA degree in Psychology and Mathematics/Statistics from Winona State University, her MA in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and her PhD in Educational Psychology, Social Contexts of Education, from the University of Minnesota as well.
Dr. Peterson's research interests include studying informal student-faculty interaction, social power and its role in the classroom, college student outcomes, and learning behaviors students perform in the sciences. She also engages in a variety of evaluation studies of both formal and informal educational programs. She joined the IRB in the winter of 2009.
