Your Blackboard username is the same username you use when accessing the Kateway. Your username is (usually) FI + MI + lastname (clkrey). Your Blackboard password is your six digit birthdate (MMDDYY) OR possibly your five digit birthdate (mddyy).

How do I get a Blackboard account?
When you are enrolled in a course that is using blackboard, an account will automatically be created for you. If you are having trouble logging in, contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@stkate.edu or 651-690-6402.
I can log in to Blackboard but my course isn't listed.
It may be that your course doesn't have a blackboard presence-- not all courses do. Consult the instructor of your course-- he or she will inform you whether the course has materials in blackboard. If your course does use blackboard, your instructor needs to make it available before students can see it on their Welcome page.
I'm clicking on the link to my course, but I don't see any of the course buttons!
You've probably clicked on the link to your course under "My Announcements" (the center panel) on the welcome screen. Click on the "Welcome" tab at the top of the screen, and click on the course link in the far right panel under "My Courses".
I'm not getting emails that my instructor sends through Blackboard.
