Resetting Windows XP Network Drives after a Password Change
Beginning in Fall 2003, every 90 days users are required to change their Windows Logon password. If you have mapped your network drives and printers with your old login password you will need to reset your connections when you change your password.
IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU MAY BE TEMPORARILY LOCKED OUT IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR PASSWORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING YOUR NETWORK DRIVES. DISCONNECT YOUR NETWORK DRIVES AND TRY TO AD THEM BACK IN 1 HOUR.
To disconnect your drives, do the following,

1.) Click “Start” > “All Programs” and Click “My Computer”
2.) Single Right Click on the Network Drives and Select “Disconnect”

3.) The drive will then disappear. You must disconnect ALL NETWORK DRIVES BEFORE REMAPPING THEM. To Re-ad the P:\ and U:\ drives go to the Helpguides named
Adding the P drive in Windows Xp Pro
Adding the U drive in Windows Xp Pro.
If you are still having difficulties please call the Helpdesk @ 6402.
