Nonviolent Communication Workshop

COMPLETED EVENT

Non-Violent Communication: How we communicate our values
Faith, Values, Women, and Politics Series
Sunday, March 5 to Monday, March 6

Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, peacemaker, author and founder of the Center for Nonviolent Communication, visited the Twin Cities for the first time to offer a workshop at the College of St. Catherine. Dr. Rosenberg's interactive workshop demonstrated how to communicate across polarized differences gracefully. This was the second major event in the Faith, Values, Women and Politics Series that is encouraging dialogue on difficult topics both at the College and in the community. The first event in the Series was a speech from Krista Tippett, host of American Public Media's Speaking of Faith.

The first day of the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) workshop provided an introduction to NVC techniques.
During the second day Dr. Rosenberg worked with those who want to integrate NVC into themselves, their families, workplace, church, government or other groups with whom they interact.
