LeGuide: Student Handbook
The term "Le Guide" takes us back to our founding mothers, the Sisters of St. Joseph. The order of the Sisters of St. Joseph was founded in LePuy, France in 1650. The sisters made their way to states and settled along the Mississippi in Carondolet, Missouri and from there set out across the nation. They made their way up the Mississippi to St. Paul where they founded our institution in 1905. In keeping with our founder's French heritage - LeGuide, translated from French is "the guide." The purpose of LeGuide is to "point the way" for all St, Catherine students to the information and resources that will support your success and affiliation here at St. Catherine University.
