Services for Students with Disabilities
Compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. St. Catherine University seeks to provide effective learning experiences for all students, and recognizes that students with disabilities may need accommodations in order to benefit from the instruction that is offered. In order to provide appropriate accommodations, as directed by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504), both students and faculty members share responsibility in the process.

First, the student must inform the university of the presence of her or his disability if any accommodations are required. The university may require current documentation of the disability. Second, the faculty member, working in conjunction with the learning centers, must provide reasonable accommodation to the student’s learning needs.
Students seeking accommodations such as sign language interpreters, tape-recorded textbooks, testing accommodations or adaptive computer equipment, should contact the learning center at their campus (Minneapolis campus, (651) 690-7948; St. Paul campus, (651) 690-6563).
