As part of the initiative, African women leaders from a number of countries participated in a panel discussion Tuesday night followed by a leadership seminar on Wednesday. More »

March 10, 2011 · Tony Murphy discusses St. Kate's STEM initiatives with Sheila Yule, GLOBE Program Office at a meeting of GLOBE program participants across North America prior to the National Science Teachers Association conference in California. March 7, 2011 · Students from Laura Jeffrey Academy take a miniature science course with Professor Susan Goetz called "Discrepant Event" in Mendel Hall on Friday. In a visit to St. Catherine University, the students learned the value of attending a women's college and had the opportunity to take several mini-courses, ranging from "Art and Identity" and "The Chemistry of Ice Cream" to "Amnesty International." Feb. 28, 2011 · Assistant Professors Anne Estes (left) and Chris Sacerdote hold a proclamation by Gov. Mark Dayton. The week of Feb. 27-March 5, is International Montessori Education Week, and Gov. Dayton also proclaimed it Montessori Education Week in Minnesota. St. Kate's will be represented at the American Montessori Society's annual conference in Chicago in March. Michael J. Feb. 15, 2011 · Jordyn Arndt, peer advisor for the Office of Global Studies, welcomes students to the Study Abroad Fair at St. Catherine University on Monday, Feb. 14, in the Rauenhorst Ballroom. At the fair, university faculty unveiled new and returning global studies programs for the upcoming summer and January terms. Students also had a chance to learn about study abroad programs through two college consortiums. Nov. 10, 2010 · Shannon Platten '11, a nursing major, was among seven honored by the City of Mound Nov. 9 for her life-saving efforts in an August 2010 near-drowning incident.
