Minnesota Department of Health reports new deaths from H1N1 in week 44 of pandemic
 · During week 44 of the H1N1 Novel Influenza Pandemic, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) reported six associated deaths and one influenza-type unspecified death were confirmed. However, only 44 schools across Minnesota reported outbreaks of Influenza-like Illneses, a drop from 137 schools last week. More »

Jeffrey Johnson, assistant professor of philosophy, delivered the keynote address, titled "Things We Mean," at the Second Annual Red River Undergraduate Philosophy Conference at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, Nov. 14.
Patricia Nanoff, BA '81, MA '84, professor in the Liberal Arts and Sciences/Associate of Arts Degree program, delivered the keynote address to the Alabama Women’s Recovery Conference in Birmingham, AL, Nov. 6-7.
Janis Seeley, a first-year student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, has won the COMMFFEST MADA (Making A Difference) AWARD for "Best Short Drama" from this year's COMMFFEST (GLOBAL) Community Film Festival in Toronto for her script of the documentary, Judy. The six-minute film chronicles a woman’s relationship with her abuser-husband and her escape from the relationship.
St. Catherine University has joined the Catholic Research Resources Alliance (CRRA). CRRA provides an electronic portal for access to rare, unique or infrequently held materials in academic libraries and seminaries' special collections and archives.
