art director, and SCAN, the St. Catherine University magazine, won bronze awards at the Minnesota Magazine & Publications Association's 13th annual Excellence Awards. Evans-Smith won a bronze in the "Best Use of Visuals/Photography" category for the October 2008 cover story about biology students studying in northern California. The magazine won a bronze in the "Best Column" category for "Behind the Scenes."
