University launches St. Kate's Newswire
On April 11, 2011, St. Catherine University launched a redesigned website for University news, online at http://news.stkate.edu/.
The new website continues to feature stories about each of the schools at St. Catherine University, as well as stories on Arts and Culture, Catholic Identity and Student Life. New to the website in 2011 is a category called Multimedia. Under this category, you will find complete slide shows of community and University events, as well as audio and video coverage.
The St. Catherine University news service also offers stories that “Engage” our readers, as well as offering briefs and a new Editor’s Spotlight to keep the community informed. Additionally, on the new website, readers will find links to other online resources, including the Photo Bureau Flickr page, LinkedIn and the RSS Feed, as well as the University’s official social media networks on Facebook.com and Twitter.com.
Media are encouraged to draw news from the new website and take advantage of the new “For the Media” section on the news homepage. This section includes links for Media Inquiries, Resources including photos, quick facts and directions, and a tool to Find a St. Kate’s Expert, which connects media to University experts on a range of issues and topics.
