Accounting Major

Our Accounting program offers hands-on experience, internships coordinated through alumnae and small classes of 14-20 students. *The major in accounting meets the provisions of the Board of Accountancy of Minnesota and other states to sit for the Uniform Examination for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) after graduation, without prior experience. Nearly all St. Kate's accounting graduates have secured jobs in their field within two months of graduation, often at leading firms such as American Express; Larson, Allen Financial; Piper Jaffrey, KPMG, LLP; Ernst & Young; Xcel Energy; Deloitte & Touche; USBank; WIPFLI, LLP; Target and McGladrey & Pullen, LLP.

Each year, faculty nominate two students to receive scholarships granted by the Twin Cities Chapter of Financial Executive Institute (FEI). St. Kate's has a success of more than 88% in their scholarship competition. We credit this success to the caliber of the program and its students and to the faculty's personal knowledge of their students.
