Criteria for Waiving Completion of
Independent Management Project
- Transitional DPT students may petition to waive the Independent Management Project, based on prior completion of a project at their facility that meets the criteria for completion of this assignment. Petitions for waiving this assignment will be reviewed by DPT faculty. If approved, the petitioner will then submit a written report of the administrative/management project. The written report would detail the various components of the project, potential benefits to the clinic, resources used in developing the project, strategies for successful implementation, and outcomes from the project (impact on the work of the clinic). A statement regarding feedback from the clinic manager and peers will also be included.

- Quality improvement – development of a QI plan addressing an issue identified at your site.
