Student Teaching
Student teaching is the culmination of the teacher education program. An important step in a teacher's preparation, it will probably be the individual's most remembered experience in college.
The student teaching experience provides numerous opportunities for the Student Teacher to practice
theories learned in on-campus courses and to develop the skills, attitudes, and understanding needed to direct the learning activities of her/his students at an appropriate professional level.
Students in the Education Department are provided student teaching placement service through the Education Office. Since placement of student teachers is a complicated process, it is in the best interest of education students and the Education Department and College to arrange placements in a thoughtful and timely manner.
