Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for the 2008-2009 school year is $350 per credit. There is a $25 application fee. The cost for books and materials varies from course to course, but is estimated at $70-$100 per semester.

Financial aid information can be found on the College's Financial Aid website.

Computer Requirements
A computer with Internet connection is required for this program. High speed internet connection is preferred. In addition, students should be proficient in basic word processing, Internet use, Internet searches, accessing e-mail, attaching files in e-mail, opening attachments in e-mail and other basic computer literacy.

Learning Teams
Students in the MAED, Curriculum and Instruction Program are organized into learning teams (a minimum of two and a maximum of six members.) Many students apply with a colleague or colleagues from their school or a neighboring school. If a student does not designate a learning team, every effort is made to place that student with another student seeking a learning team. Occasionally, a team has been asked to take in a member without a team.

"It has given me the opportunity to work with other professionals in education. We have had the chance to challege and encourage each other to become better teachers and people."

Learning teams may meet at schools, in homes or at other mutually designated locations, or the learning team can choose to meet virtually through e-mail or Blackboard.

Some assignments in each course are designated as Learning Team Assignments. Typically these assignments include discussion, observation, and/or practical classroom application.

Transfer Credits
Students entering the program after Winter 2008 are not able to transfer in credits from another college or university.

Faculty Program Advisor
Students in the MAED, Curriculum and Instruction program work with Kate Furlong, the program director, who serves as their advisor throughout the program. Julie Salmen, the MAED administrative assistant, is also available to answer questions and provide information.
