Application and Registration
Admission
- You should have either a high school diploma or a general equivalency diploma (GED) to pursue studies at the St. Catherine University.
- You are eligible for an Associate American Montessori Society (AMS) teaching credential for Early Childhood until you get your Bachelor's degree.
- You will need a bachelor's degree if you are applying for admission to the Montessori Elementary program.
- If a master’s degree applicant’s cumulative undergraduate GPA is less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, the Graduate Education Admission Committee will review her/ or his file. Additional information, such as GRE scores, may be required.
- To be a candidate for the Montessori Elementary credential (without Master's Degree), you must hold a baccalaureate degree with at least a 2.5 cumulative undergraduate GPA.

Non-credit Credential Option
For those who don’t want the benefits of university credit, you can earn an Early Childhood or Elementary AMS credential at a lower cost. Please call the Center for Contemporary Montessori Programs for more details at 651-690-6001. A different application form is used for this option.
