This concentration meets the requirements of the Minnesota Board of Teaching and requires preparation in each of the content areas of Family and Consumer Science, including clothing and textiles, foods and nutrition, housing, family resource management, family relationships, and child development. The graduates will be eligible for licensure and qualified to teach any of the Family and Consumer Science content areas at the middle, junior, and senior high school levels. The student may also prepare for licensure as a Parent and Family Educator.
