Welcome to the Health Information Specialist Web site. The Health Information Specialist program is a two-year program that offers an Associate Degree and meets the requirements to take the national certification exam to become a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). The Health Information Specialist program educates specialists who will have competence in many areas including: information manager, coding specialist, quality assurance specialist, supervisory manager, and registry specialist.

RHITs often get jobs analyzing data, reporting patient information and working on reimbursement. Technical courses are offered in the evening.
