Our Spanish program aims to develop in students effective linguistic and cultural communication in a Spanish-speaking environment. Courses are designed to develop and maintain Spanish proficiency, and to provide cultural awareness and sensitivity. All courses are taught in Spanish.
If you are in doubt as to which course you should take, we have an on-line Placement Test available. The Placement Test is required of all students who would like to begin taking Spanish at the college. To read instructions on how to take the test, click on the Services Tab.
Foreign study, travel or residence is highly recommended. During January, the Spanish department sponsors study abroad in Mexico alternately with study abroad in Spain.
