Pastoral Ministry
Certificate Program
The purpose of the Pastoral Ministry Certificate program is to prepare people for ministry in today's church and society, especially those called to more formal roles of ministry.
This ecumenical program for women and men integrates three essentials for contemporary lay ministry formation:
- A solid theological foundation
- A supervised pastoral field education experience that teaches ongoing self-evaluation skills
- A spirituality that takes seriously the identity, experiences and talents of lay people.
The Pastoral Ministry Certificate can be obtained at the graduate or undergraduate level. The graduate classes are offered evenings throughout the year. Students may proceed at their own pace. Most complete the program in two to three years.
