Spiritual Direction
Graduate Certificate Program

The College of St. Catherine has a long and rich history of academic excellence and spiritual leadership. The Certificate Program in Spiritual Direction is an extension of its mission, emphasizing a knowledge of psychological development, Christian spirituality, scriptural studies and systematic theology.

This graduate certificate program open to men and women addresses the increasing demands for credential certification and competency. A supervised Spiritual Direction internship is required to complete the certificate program. A personal interview is required prior to acceptance to the program.

The program emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to the ministry as well as academic competence. Students are encouraged to incorporate personal experience, prayerful reflection, and health and wellness issues into their academic training.

At a time of transition within our society and churches when spiritual leadership and guidance are increasingly important, this ecumenical program offers both women and men the skills and certification to respond to that need.
