St. Catherine’s 3M Center for Sales Innovation
offers business-to-business sales continuing education

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Gone are the days of Willy Loman, the salesman who rode “on a smile and a shoeshine.” Today’s successful sales programs mirror a highly sophisticated business world. It’s a world where understanding the environment of the client is just as important as understanding the product and where long-term relationships are critical to closing a complex sale.

A continuing education series offered this spring at the Center for Sales Innovation at the College of St. Catherine will prepare women and men for the challenging but lucrative field of business-to-business sales. The center, a partnership with 3M, is the only sales education program in Minnesota and one of only six in the nation to bring academic discipline to sales education.

WHAT: Coaching for Sales Managers — Managers will learn to work with sales representatives to enhance their selling strengths, and identify and correct selling problems. Wanda Brown, a recognized authority on sales force productivity and founder of Brown and Kirkwood, a sales management and performance consulting firm, will facilitate.
