America Reads

What is America Reads?

America Reads is a literacy program to ensure all young people are academically prepared. St. Kate's students are employed as tutors at schools and commuity organizations working with youth on their literacy goals. Tutors go in groups to the school or community organization, driven in St. Kate's vans. The Center supports tutors leadership and skill development through ongoing trainings and reflection sessions.  

America Reads Sites

The Center for Community Work and Learning works with seven schools and community sites in the Twin Cities through the America Reads Program, ranging from school day, after-school and evening programs.
