Community Leadership Program Position: Volunteer Coordinator for the English Language Learner (ELL) program at the Cedar Riverside Adult Education Collaborative

"I chose an off-campus job so I could combine my majors and apply them to real-life work. The greatest skills I have learned are the ones that come with being the "go to" person for service learners. In conducting orientations for new English tutors and serving as a link among students, teachers and volunteers, I am constantly forced to stay on my game. At Cedar-Riverside, I am polishing both my professional and informal communication skills and building experience for future job settings."
