Community Work and Learning

Service Learning

Faculty Pam Wilmouth and two Doctorate of Physical Therapy students fold blankets at Bridging, Inc. during a week-long local immersion service-learning course.
Community Work and Learning partners with a number of academic departments on campus to offer service-learning courses. In these classes, students spend time at community sites learning from community members.

Service-learning courses focus on critical reflection, civic responsibility, local community needs and the enhancement of academic skills.
