America Reads Van Drivers

America Reads van drivers play a vital role in the tutoring process by providing transportation to and from the tutoring sites for students. Van drivers must be responsible, dependable, and have good time management.

"I like van driving because it still gives me the opportunity to drive! I am a huge fan of driving and being from Colorado with no car, it lets me learn the Twin Cities area. I have always loved to drive, and unlike many people I know, big cities do not scare me. Van driving is also a really laid back job. Even though we have a huge responsibility to care for the students going to and from their work sites, we also have our share of fun. I also like the fact that there are many shifts that you can choose from based on your schedule. It has pretty flexible hours throughout most of the days."

"This is my third year driving for CWL. I like that the hours are flexible and students that you drive and drive with are respectful and fun to see each day. I love to hear the experiences the student tutors have with the students at the sites."
