Coleman Foundation Grant

Thanks to a grant from the Coleman Foundation, the College of St. Catherine has begun to infuse entrepreneurship education into the college's Liberal Arts and Sciences programs.

Entrepreneurship for the Liberal Arts and Sciences is an initiative to link the study of entrepreneurship with the liberal arts and sciences. The goals of the program are the following:

  • To expose liberal arts and science majors to the opportunity of entrepreneurship as a career.
  • To link undergraduate students with women entrepreneurs for mentoring and internship opportunities that will help them both grow in their understanding of entrepreneurship and help students further explore entrepreneurship as a career choice.
  • To develop curricular structures to support the study of entrepreneurship for all students, particularly those in the liberal arts and sciences.
  • To deepen the understanding of faculty across the campus so they can better advise and encourage students about entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneurship for the Liberal Arts and Sciences initiative has several components:
  • Curriculum Development
  • Tri-Mentor Program
  • Faculty Development
  • Web Portal Development
  • Internships
  • Institutional Development
  • Evaluation
