Environmental Scan

IRP conducted the first environmental scan as part of the part of the planning process for the Strategic Plan 2005-2010.

The Strategic Plan Environmental Scan is a document that summarizes all of the external trends that might affect college operations over the next 5-10 years. For this document we interviewed college staff and faculty, and collected local, regional, and national news related to careers, business, education, health, economics, student demographics. We pulled this information into one document to highlight predictions and observations that might affect decision making and policy development at the college.

The Environmental Scan process will be repeated by IRP periodically. The next environmental scan will be conducted in March, 2008.
