About ORSP

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) promotes and facilitates faculty & staff research and program initiatives and assists faculty & staff in seeking, applying for, and managing grants from state and federal government funding sources.

ORSP assists grant-seekers in conceptualizing new projects and programs, forging partnerships, identifying potential funding sources, developing budgets and preparing proposals. ORSP also assists successful grant applicants as they manage their awards.

ORSP is responsible for developing policies to ensure integrity in research and compliance with federal regulations. ORSP is also charged with budgetary oversight of all academic research & program grants awarded to St. Kate's faculty and staff.

ORSP has facilitated a number of successful grant applications.  Examples include grants to fund the Urban Library Program, the CATIE Center, and STEM scholarships for undergraduate students.  Through an NIH grant awarded to support grant-seeking at St. Kate’s, ORSP has also helped fund pilot studies in the biomedical and behavioral sciences. Visit the St. Kate's Grant Showcase for more information about these and other awards.
