Critical Incidents in Science Learning

May 15, 2008 - Congratulations to Dr. Gil Clary, Professor of Psychology, Dr. Andrea Olson, Associate Professor of Psyhcology, and Dr. Jamie Peterson, Assistant Professor of Psychology, who have been awarded a $23,790 3M Large Grant for their research, "Critical Incidents in Science Learning." The team will use a "critical incidents procedure" to observe both effective and ineffective behaviors that students perform in their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) classes. The researchers will analyze behaviors that lead to success in these disciplines in order to better support the retention of students within STEM disciplines.
