Join your colleagues for a two-day intensive workshop designed for faculty and staff interested in learning more about project evaluation. The St. Kate’s Evaluation Institute will offer informational workshops on evaluation planning, design and implementation using a case study approach.

Featured topics include:
Understanding evaluation principles and terminology
Using logic models in project evaluation
Developing an evaluation plan
Collecting data for use in evaluation
Analyzing data
Using evaluation results

Participants will register for one of two evaluation methodology tracks to be offered during the second day of the Institute:

Survey Design & Analysis
Review when and how to use a survey for project evaluation as well as the strengths and limitations of this approach. Learn best practices for designing and constructing a survey, developing and testing survey questions, administering a survey and analyzing survey data.

Focus Group Design, Implementation & Analysis
Review the purpose of focus groups in evaluation, as well as the strengths and limitations of this approach. Learn best practices for developing a questioning route, recruiting participants, preparing for and facilitating focus groups and analyzing focus group data.

Participants will also have the opportunity to meet individually with a member of the Evaluation Leadership Team to discuss individual projects and ideas.

Workshops will be led by members of the Evaluation Leadership Team and will draw on the experience and expertise of faculty and staff who have been involved in project evaluation in a wide range of disciplines.
