December 3, 2007 - Congratulations to Lynn Schleeter, Director of the Center for Sales Innovation, for receiving the 2007 Ethics Award from the James S. Kemper Foundation.

This $25,000 award will be used to assess the efficacy of the CSC Sales program’s efforts to integrate ethics across the curriculum. A survey of faculty, students, interns and alumnae will help answer some important questions: How have CSC students’ critical thinking abilities matured as they have moved through the program? Do interns and graduates feel that they were well prepared for the day-to-day ethical issues they face in the workplace? How can we help interns to better recognize ethical issues in their workplace or professions? This research will provide faculty with guidelines for curriculum enhancement, strategies for strengthening internships, and a continuing education focus for alumnae facing challenging situations in the workplace. The assessment will directly strengthen CSC students’ experience with the program and their ability to lead with ethical integrity.

The James S. Kemper Foundation, based in Chicago, gives only one Ethics Award annually.
