Nursing and Philosophy Major, Class of 2008

My research has determined the strategy I will use to accomplish my education goals within graduate school. As an assistant, I review literature on the use of complementary and integrative therapies by senior women who live with arthritis. I work with another Research Assistant who is finishing her graduate studies. Although this used to be intimidating, we meet with multiple ideas, collaboration and focus rooted to the task. We enjoy what we do! We have spent hours transcribing recorded voices from a cassette tape into word documents. I have watched real stories and lived vicariously amongst the women in our community. I know what it is to care for the quality of research I do because it matters to the 29 women we have interviewed!
