Creating an Inclusive Nursing Education Environment

November 28, 2006 - Congratulations to Dr. Susan Bosher, Associate Professor of English and Dr. Margaret Dexheimer Pharris, Associate Professor of Nursing, who have received a $10,000 Carol Easley Denny Award for 2007-2008 for "Creating an Inclusive Nursing Education Environment: Development of a Nursing Education Text." Dr. Bosher and Dr. Pharris will produce an anthology of essays that guide and inspire nurses to create an inclusive nursing education environment, where all students have an equal chance to succeed. Dr. Bosher's work on linguistic simplification and on preparing ESL students for the language and cultural demands of nursing programs and Dr. Pharris' work on the creation of an inclusive environment will be included in the anthology.
