February 14, 2007 - Congratulations to Dr. Daron Janzen, faculty member in the Chemistry Department on his Research Site for Educators in Chemistry (RSEC) Grant award in the amount of $15,500. The grant will support collaborative research with Nyasha Kanganga, student research assistant, in the area of materials chemistry. This grant is sponsored by the National Science Foundation, and will be conducted in partnership with Dr. Kent Mann at the University of Minnesota, in summer 2007.

Dr. Janzen and Ms. Kanganga will explore the development of new metal complexes for use in optoelectronic devices including light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
