Needs Assessment and Research Interests: Faculty Survey Results

The Faculty Survey, which was conducted in the spring of 2007, asked faculty to discuss their research interests and needs and reflect on possible barriers to grant-seeking and research. The results are contained in the Faculty Survey Report attached below and were presented at the Faculty Meeting on August 30, 2007. Beth Koenig, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and Andrea Olson, Psychology, hosted three brown bag sessions (two on the St. Paul campus and one on the MPLS campus) to continue informal discussions of the Faculty Survey Results. The aim of the Brown Bag Sessions was to expand the discussion and develop recommendations based upon the survey findings, particularly in regards to addressing barriers, promoting faculty research opportunities, and improving the services of ORSP.
