St. Paul Parking Information

Welcome to the St. Paul campus. We have a number of parking lots available for guests and members of the campus community. Different types of parking permits are required as outlined on this page. The Department of Public Safety is responsible for parking regulations and enforcement, and provides emergency assistance and escort services to anyone holding a St. Catherine parking permit. As specific parking lots are noted, refer to the St. Paul campus map.

Guests

A Guest permit is required between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 p.m.
How: Stop by the Department of Public Safety located in the building directly east of Derham Hall (the old Bookstore) to get a permit. Please bring:
  • Drivers license or Minnesota photo ID
  • Vehicle information (including license plate number)
Where: Guests can park in the O'Shaughnessy Auditorium parking lot or in the lot directly east of the O'Shaughnessy lot.

Prospective Students

Parking spaces are reserved for prospective students on the west side of Derham Hall at the top of the Wishbone, entering campus from the corner of Cleveland and Randolph. If you have an appointment with an Admissions representative, she/he will arrange a permit for you. Permits can be picked up at the Derham Hall reception desk.

General Parking

Open to anyone with a valid St. Catherine permit. Locations: O'Shaughnessy lot, north Powerhouse lot, Stanton/Crandall Road, the Wishbone, and south Library lot.

Student Parking

Open to all St. Catherine students with a valid Student permit. Locations: north Caecilian lot and south Powerhouse lot.

Faculty/Staff Parking

Requires a valid Faculty/Staff permit from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. everyday. Locations: Frey lot, Mendel lot, and Visual Art lot.

Early Child Care Parking (South side of St. Mary's Hall)

Reserved for those dropping off children at the Early Child Care Center. Requires a valid ECC parking permit.

Overnight Parking

A Resident permit is required for parking between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Designated areas in north Caecilian, O'Shaughnessy, and south Library lots.

Handicapped Parking

Open to those with a St. Catherine permit and a Minnesota State Handicap permit or license plate. If you cannot locate a handicapped space to accommodate your handicap, park in the nearest handicapped or general parking space, then call (651) 690-8888 and indicate you need a vehicle escort for medical reasons.

Disability Parking

Open to those with a St. Catherine permit and St. Kate's Disability permit.
If you cannot locate a handicapped space to accommodate your disability, park in the nearest handicapped or general parking space, then call (651) 690-8888 and indicate you need a vehicle escort for medical reasons.

Minneapolis/St. Paul Commuter Permit

Open to those with a St. Catherine parking permit and a St. Catherine Minneapolis or St. Paul Commuter permit.
