Minneapolis Campus Parking Information

There is no parking available on the Minneapolis campus except for those with Minnesota Handicap parking permits or St Kate’s disability permits.

    On-street Parking
There is on street parking available to the east of the campus, around Riverside Park, on the Park side of the street. The residential side is restricted to one hour parking except by permit. Permits are only issued to neighborhood residents.

There is some short term, 2 hour, metered parking available throughout the Fairview Medical Center vicinity. Please be aware that the city monitors the meters closely. Parking there is limited to 2 hours and then you must move your car. Tickets are frequently issued for expired meters. This can be an expensive parking option. Students are advised to use the meters as a last resort.

South of I-94 there is considerable unregulated on-street parking.

Those of you new to the campus should be aware that every time the snow emergency is posted, on-street parking is limited due to the requirement to alternate parking from one side of the street to the other for snow plowing. The city of Minneapolis will tow vehicles which are parked inappropriately without warning. This lasts until April 1st. For complete information on snow emergency rules, please visit the website: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/snow-emergency.asp
Also, you may call (612)348-SNOW (7699) for daily snow emergency parking instructions.

    Fairview-University Medical Center Parking Ramps
Fairview (F-UMC), has a very limited quantity of parking available on a first-come first-serve basis. For availability and pricing, you may contact F-UMC directly at 612-273-7275.

As an alternative to parking at Minneapolis, a shuttle runs regularly from the St. Paul Campus to the Minneapolis Campus. With a St. Kate's Parking Permit, your vehicle can be parked in the St. Paul campus lot and you can enjoy a free shuttle ride (with CSC ID) to the Minneapolis campus.
