| Assistantship Mentoring Program The Assistantship Mentoring Program (AMP) offers opportunities for students of all backgrounds to work collaboratively with faculty and staff mentors, gaining experience to strengthen their academic and professional careers. Assistantship projects can be undertaken during the Summer or January term, and on a one- or two-semester basis. Students earn $10 per hour and work approximately 13 hours per week during the semester and approximately 20 hours/week in summer and January. For further information click here. Building Manager: The Student Building Manager is a key student leadership position within Coeur de Catherine and will serve as the lead person in overseeing the operation of the Coeur de Catherine Student Center when the Student Center and Activities Office staff is not present. Student Building Managers are primarily focused on security, situation management, and inspections of the Student Center facility for safety and maintenance. Building Managers will ensure smooth operation of the facility and assist those within the Student Center in a professional manner. For further information click here. Graphic Designers: The Graphic Designers are responsible for creating unique and innovative marketing pieces for Student Center and Activities events and student organization events and programs. Projects include, but are not limited to: semester and monthly calendars, unique publicity for Selection, Activities Fair, Honors and Awards, student events and programs, and more. Information Center Assistant Manager: The Information Center Assistant Manager has responsibility for the efficient operation of the information center sales and to assign and monitor projects to the Information Center employees. The Assistant Manager works directly with maintaining the fiscal health of the Information Center. For further information click here. Information Center Manager: The Information Center Manager has responsibility for the smooth, efficient operation of the Information Center and provides direct supervision to the Information Center student employees. The Information Center Manager works with the Information Center Student Workers to ensure that they serve as ambassadors for the Student Center and Activities Office and the college in providing a welcoming environment for all those within the facility. The Manager is also an integral part of training and hiring Information Center Workers and the Information Center Assistant Manager. For further information click here. Information Center Worker: The Information Center serves as a primary source of information about the campus for the community at the College and visitors to the campus. The Information Center Worker is an ambassador for the Student Center and Activities Office and the college and will provide a welcoming environment for all those within the facility. The Information Center Worker will provide an array of campus wide information and assistance to individuals in the Student Center as well as telephone requests. In addition, the Information Center Worker will complete special projects as assigned. For further information click here. LEAD Team The Lead Team is a collaborative team of students who work together to create leadership awareness and provide leadership training to other students on campus. There is no hierarchy and each member has equal power and responsibility. The LEAD Team provides leadership training through various on-campus projects and funshops. Any organization or entity on campus can contact the LEAD Team to have a workshop done for that group. All workshops are FREE and anyone on campus is welcome to use our services. Orientation Assistant The position of Orientation Assistant is one that allows students to make a meaningful contribution to the College of St. Catherine and to entering students. Orientation Assistants serve as role models and sources of support for new students and their families. Additionally, Orientation Assistants provide critical support and assistance to Orientation Leaders, the overall Orientation program, and specific components of Orientation. It is the Orientation Committee’s hope that students who may not want to lead an entire Orientation group alone see this position as an opportunity to contribute to Orientation in a different way. Orientation Student Coordinator The Orientation Student Coordinator is an integral part of the Fall Orientation program. In helping train the Orientation Student Staff and helping new students and their families make a positive transition into the College of St. Catherine, the Orientation Student Coordinator position allows a student to make a meaningful contribution to the College. Orientation Leader Orientation Leaders are role models as well as sources of support and information for new students. They play a major role in facilitating the adjustment of new students and their families to the CSC community. They share accurate information about academic, personal, and social resources while working collaboratively with faculty, professional staff, and student staff from other areas on campus. In helping new students make a positive transition to St. Kate’s, Orientation Leaders are some of the best-informed students on campus and are part of a dynamic team. Pulse Assistant Manager: The Assistant Pulse Manager is responsible for assisting the Pulse Student Manager with the smooth, efficient operation of Pulse programming and serves as the direct audio/visual contact person for the Pulse. The Assistant Manager develops programs and collaborates with clubs, organizations, and departments in meeting programming needs. Also, the Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining and creating Pulse series such as Films, Coffee Houses, Novelties, and Study Station. For further information click here. Pulse Manager: The Pulse Manager is responsible for the smooth, efficient operation of Pulse programming and serves as the direct student contact person for the Pulse. The Manager is responsible for reviewing and approving Pulse reservations and collaborating with clubs, organizations, and departments in meeting their programming needs. Also, the Manager is responsible for maintaining and creating Pulse series such as Films, Coffee Houses, Novelties, Final Fixes, etc… For further information click here. SCA Office Assistant: The SCA Office Assistant is a key member of the SCA staff. The Assistant will greet and assist all visitors to the office, answer incoming calls professionally, complete errands around campus, work on special projects and additional duties as assigned. St. Kate’s Activities Team (SKAT): SKAT is a student activity fee funded programming team comprised of 8-12 students who each play a vital role in creating and facilitating unique and engaging programming for St. Kate’s. Each SKAT member is responsible for a specific area of programming such as films, Dew Drop Bop, twin cities events, social justice and lectures, music, novelty, and special events. SKAT works together as a team to create interesting programs and serve the entire St. Kate’s community. SKAT members learn how to develop and execute programs as well as participating in leadership development opportunities. For further information click here. Transfer Orientation Leader The Transfer Orientation Leader facilitates the transition of new transfer students to the College of St. Catherine by helping to build connections between the new students and the college community (faculty, staff, and students). Provide information to transfer students that will assist them in succeeding both in and out of the classroom. |
