| Policy for Adding Courses - Semester Programs |
|
(effective Fall 2002)
Students may add a course through the end of the first week of the session or subsession without obtaining an instructor's signature.* Students must obtain an instructor's signature to add a course after the first week of the session or subsession through the last day to add a course, as listed in the academic calendar. Students who wish to add a course (for compelling reasons) after the deadline must petition the appropriate dean or academic dean.
NOTE: Individualized studies (Independent Study, Directed Study, Research, etc.) are subject to the standard add/drop dates. Students are expected to complete individualized studies by the end of the session or subsession in which they register for them.
*Exceptions: Closed courses, ACTC courses (after initial registration period, instructor signature is required the first day of the term) and courses that otherwise require permission to add (Independent Study, Directed Study, Internship, etc.).
