Support for your Plan
If you are planning to ask for support from your employer
for any of your goals, you may want to transfer the goals you have to
a more formal proposal or plan. An example of this can be found here.
This proposal can be used as a communication tool to begin a discussion
with your supervisor or other personnel who might be making decisions
on the support that can be given to you.
SAMPLE PROPOSAL
Whether you are planning to transfer the information to a formal proposal
or not, here are a few things to consider doing with your plan:
- Share it with others! Pull this together
in August, meet with your supervisor before school starts. Impressive!
- Put it in a place where you will see
it daily - check in periodically to monitor your progress.
- Meet with your supervisor again at the end of the year,
to report on progress and to discuss possible changes, new goals (as
old ones are completed.)
