Brenda Frie received her baccalaureate degree in occupational therapy from the University of Minnesota in 1983, and a post-professional Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University in 2010. Brenda is currently enrolled in the Higher Education Administration Doctoral Program at St. Cloud State University.
Brenda is a certified hand therapist specializing in the treatment of acute and chronic upper extremity injuries. Her administrative experience includes clinic administration, fieldwork education, and program development. Brenda works part-time for Fairview Hand Center.
Academically Brenda has focused her research on the needs of adults living with chronic inflammatory conditions. She is currently working in collaboration with the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota on the development of community based self- management programs for adults living with lupus. She has developed self-management programing for fatigue, physical activity, stress and pain management.
Brenda is a course instructor in the Masters of Arts in Occupaitonal Therapy Program teaching biomechanical concepts, clinical kinesiology, and masters project courses.
