Heidi Hammond has 23 years experience as a school librarian at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She holds a Minnesota teaching license in English, speech, and reading, and as a school librarian/media specialist. Heidi coordinates the school library media specialist portion of the MLIS program.
Heid served on the 2011 Randolph Caldecott Award Committee (ALSC) that selected A Sick Day for Amos McGee. She was a member of the 2013 Margaret A. Edwards Award Committee (YALSA) the selected Tamora Pierce. She also serves on the editorial board of SLR (AASL). She is a co-facilitator of a Children’s Literature Network Chapter and Verse Book Club for adults interested in children’s and young adult literature.
