My expertise lies in the area of educational psychology and my focus is upon student learning at the university level.
I teach courses in General Psychology, Learning Principles & Applications, a career exploration and preparation course titled "Psychology Engages the World," and a first-year seminar course titled "The Reflective Woman."
My research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning. I am especially interested in using service-learning as a means to help students achieve learning outcomes and work towards social justice in their communities. I am currently developing and evaluating the efficacy of an innovative hands-on laboratory curriculum for General Psychology students that emphasizes scientific literacy.
I serve on the Institutional Review Board. And, in addition to my work with university students, I assist non-profit organizations in evaluating the efficacy of their educational programming.
