Jessica Solberg

Jessica received an Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Anoka Hennepin Technical College in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Catherine University in 2010. Her clinical background has been in the area of outpatient orthopedics with an emphasis in aquatic therapy. She joined the PTA and DPT programs as a faculty assistant in 2005.

Ms. Solberg has been an active member of the APTA where she served as the PTA Special Interest Group Chair from 2002 to 2007 and as the PTA Delegate (formerly the RBNA) from 2005 to 2008.  In 2010 she was elected to the MN APTA Board of Directors.  Jessica presented at the 2011 Combined Sections Meeting in New Orleans and the 2008 APTA Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX.

Ms. Solberg is a faculty assistant in PTA 1040 Musculoskeletal Anatomy with Measurement Techniques, PTA 1140 Kinesiology Principles with Clinical Application, and PTA 1160 PTA Intervention Techniques II for first year PTA students. In the DPT Program Jessica assists in DPT 5010 Outpatient PT I, DPT 6030 Rehab III and DPT 6040 Outpatient PT III.  In addition to her work in the classroom, Jessica often serves as a communication and logistics bridge between the DPT and PTA Programs as well as other programmatic duties.

Jessica was recognized in 2009 with an Emerging Leader Award given by the American Physical Therapy Association.   In 2006 Jessica was awarded as a recipient of the Recognition of Advanced Proficiency for the PTA in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy.
