Kyunghye (Konhe) Yoon has joined St Kate in the Fall of 2012 from State University of New York at Oswego where she has been teaching in the Information Science Program since 2002. Konhe is currently developing and revising Information Science curriculum of the MLIS program at St Kate.
Konhe’s research and teaching interest includes human information interaction in the web-based information systems and digital environment, which encompasses cognitive, linguistic, communicative and shared information seeking and use behaviors. Her current research examines social tagging and folksonomy of users in representing information content on social media. As a native Korean, Konhe is also interested in cultural diversity in information technology use and its implications in our society.
