Vicki is an instructor for Year 1 students. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Augustana Colllege in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She earned her degree in Physical Therapy from the Mayo School of Health Related Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota. Vicki is also a Certified Senior Strength Trainer (C.S.S.T.)
Besides teaching at St. Kate's, Vicki has clinical experience in a variety of health care settings including acute hospital, out-patient orthopedic, adult day care, long term care and home health care. At present, Vicki teaches half time at St. Kate's and half time working for Senior Abilities Unlimited, a company specializing in strength and balance for elderly clients.
Ms. Eggum teaches PTA 1040 Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Measurement Techniques, PTA 1140 Kinesiology Principles With Clinical Application, and co-teaches PTA 1160 PT Intervention Techniques II.
An active member of the APTA for over 30 years, she represents the PT profession by speaking to a variety of groups about the field of Physical Therapy. She coordinates several events that the PTA faculty and students take part in to raise the awareness of what physical therapy is and how it can help people.
Vicki is married and has two adult children. Outside of work, Vicki is active in both church and local community activities.
