Brenda Frie received her baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 1983 and her Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University in 2010. She has been a certified hand therapist since 1991.
Brenda's clinical experience is in out-patient rehabilitation of acute and chronic upper extremity injuries. Her administrative background includes clinic administration, fieldwork education, and program development. Brenda continues to work in clinical practice as a casual hand therapist for Fairview Hand Center.
Academically Brenda has focused her research on the needs of adults living with chronic inflammatory conditions. She is currently working in collaboration with the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota on the development of community based self management programs for adults living with lupus.
Brenda serves as the pre-occupational therapy undergraduate student advisor for the MAOT program. She is a course instructor in biomechanical concepts and clinical kinesiology.
